Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter’s educational summer camp programs will inspire and fascinate your child through week-long exploration and discovery about the natural world through STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math). Swaner offers summer camp programs for youth ENTERING kindergarten through 8th grade in Fall 2018. You should enroll your child based on what grade they will enter in Fall 2018.
Swaner strives to keep summer camp opportunities available to anyone who is interested in participating, and works hard to keep prices affordable and provide camp tuition waivers to youth with financial need. See below for tuition waiver information.
In addition to providing camps for K-8th, Swaner also provides leadership development opportunities for teens in 9th through 12th grades through the summer camp program. Swaner is looking for enthusiastic, motivated, fun teens to help with camp activities. For more information on how to become a teen camp counselor, click here.
- Each camp is designed for the grade level specified. Youth should be enrolled in a camp for the grade they will enter in Fall 2018.
- Unfortunately, we are not able to allow children to move up in grade level. Children may move down in grade level (e.g. a child entering 3rd grade could attend a camp for 1st and 2nd graders), although we highly discourage this as the camps are specifically targeted for each grade's developmental abilities.
- Youth may be enrolled in AM and PM sessions for a fully day camp experience. If you sign your child up for both the AM and PM session during a week of a camp, there will be a supervised lunch hour provided. Please send your child with a sack lunch.
- For information on our cancellation and refund policy, please see the section below.
- At least one-week prior camp, you will receive an email with a parent letter, detailed agenda for the week, camper wavier, a packing list, and directions to Swaner in order to best prepare your child and yourself for an excellent week of camp!
