The Swaner Nature Preserve announced the groundbreaking of its Nature Education Center on October 3. Forrest Cuch, a representative of the Ute Indian Tribe, offered a blessing on the land while Sumner Swaner, chair of the Preserve, observed.
The center will be a 10,000 square-foot building designed to serve the school district, visitors, and residents of all ages. It will host exhibits, lecture series, and special events. The center is located on a half-acre of land donated by Newpark Town Center at Kimball Junction.
