SNP Hosts Star Party

Swaner Nature Preserve and the Salt Lake Astronomical Society collaborated for a FREE "Star Party" on Friday, March 23, 2007.

Guests viewed the night sky through high powered telescopes provided by amateur astronomers from the Salt Lake Astronomical Society. While the skies were partly cloudy, guests (and SNP staff) were able to view the Moon, Saturn, and Sirius (the brightest star in the night sky). Swaner Nature Preserve staff was present to answer questions about the Preserve and our new Nature Education Center.

In addition to the great views, guests enjoyed cookies, hot chocolate, and coffee.
