Willow Harvest
Come enjoy the first signs of spring by harvesting willows on the Swaner Preserve! Dates and Details We will harvest dormant willows which will later be used for restoration of other streams on the Preserve. This improves wildlife habitat and water quality.
We need enthusiastic volunteers to assist with stream restoration work. Help us cut, trim, and transport willow branches. No experience necessary.
Volunteers are needed for 3 dates:
-Thursday, March 26th, 9:00am -12:00pm
-Friday, March 27th, 2:00pm - 5:00pm
-Sunday, March 29th, 10:00am - 1:00pm
No experience necessary! All equipment provided. Families welcome.
