Where's the Snow?
August 29, 2009
At Park City Mountain Resort
Be a part of the "Where's the Snow?" community photo! On August 29th, Park City children will be invited to line up at the projected snowline for 2050 on the slopes of Park City Mountain Resort.
The 2009 "Save Our Snow" report projects that the 2050 snowline will fall at the top of the Payday chairlift (~8,200 ft) if current carbon emitting activities continue on their existing path. Children will create signs that indicate their age in 2050. Aerial photos as well as a video will be produced to capture this visual description of where our snowpack is headed and the future of skiing in Utah. The video will premiere at the Save Our Snow 2 event at the Eccles Center on September 30th.
