Announcing a bold new adventure in Fresh Food!
Thursday, December 10, 7:00 pm
Swaner and Liberty Heights Fresh have paired up to bring local, organic, and sustainably farmed food to the Summit County community this winter. Join us for an evening of fresh food and sustainable ideas. Steven Rosenberg, CEO, and Ria Barbosa-Wilson, Produce Manager, from Liberty Heights Fresh in Salt Lake City will share tips on healthy eating through the winter, cooking demonstrations, and samples of organic food. We will also be launching Liberty Heights Fresh Sustainably Farmed Food (SFF) program for the Summit County area on this evening.
The SFF program works like a traditional produce share with weekly pick-ups but also includes local cheeses, eggs, meats, honey, and lots more. Liberty Heights Fresh buys from multiple family farms each week ensuring variety and full-flavor during the winter months. Ria will be demonstrating recipes using vegan, vegetarian, and omnivore ingredients from the SFF program. Pick-ups will take place at the Swaner EcoCenter on Thursday afternoons from 3:30 to 5:00 pm. Swaner receives 5% of the proceeds from each farm share. Choose healthy and organic this winter with Swaner and Liberty Heights Fresh!
RSVP's for this event are required and there is a $12 fee for adults and $6 for children. Members are half price. Please RSVP to Savannah@SwanerEcoCenter.org or 435.252.3583 by Tuesday, December 8. Liberty Heights Fresh will refund the entrance fee for any guest who signs up for the SFF program this night.
