Spring 2010 Willow Harvest

Volunteers are needed for 3 dates:
Thursday, April 1, 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Friday, April 2, 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Saturday, April 3, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Come enjoy the first signs of spring by harvesting willows for the next generation of trees on the Swaner Preserve!

We need enthusiastic volunteers to assist with stream restoration work. Help us cut, trim, and transport willow branches. We will harvest dormant willows which will later be used for restoration of other streams on the Preserve. This improves wildlife habitat and water quality. No experience is necessary, and we'll provide the equipment. Bring the whole family!
