Volunteer

As a nonprofit, charitable organization, our small staff at the Swaner EcoCenter relies on the generosity of our community in all that we do. The donation of one’s time is an invaluable gift that we honor and appreciate.
Our mission is fundamentally three-fold: to Preserve, to Educate, and to Nurture. Our good stewardship of the 1,200 acres entrusted to our care requires an army of volunteers who love the outdoors and take pleasure in lending a hand for the benefit of our scaled, furry and feathered friends. The bus loads of school children that venture onto the Preserve rely on docents who help us to teach and are rewarded by a child’s sense of wonder and delight.
Our new EcoCenter Hosts and Hostesses will become EcoCenter experts, enhancing each visitor’s experience and making new friends in the process.
