EcoHost Docent Program

The Swaner EcoCenter is designed to inspire in people a deep sense of connection to the living world. Each exhibit holds an environmental message that impacts our personal health and the health of the planet. Our visitors learn more about the world around us through touch, observation, interaction and play. Their experiences are made substantially more meaningful through the work of our dedicated and enthusiastic core of volunteers who are an integral part of the Swaner EcoCenter's community.
The added presence of EcoCenter hosts in the exhibit halls help visitors feel welcome and engaged. EcoCenter Hosts are specially trained to give guided green building tours and answer questions about the building’s green architecture and interactive exhibits.
We are confident that by offering engaging exhibits and informed volunteer hosts, , visitors to the EcoCenter will leave feeling inspired and empowered. As a member of this special group of volunteers you will enjoy additional benefits, including free membership and private monthly wine and cheese socials at the EcoCenter.
